Mortal kooombaaat!!!
<cue rave music here>
Picked up the newest Mortal Kombat today and it is AWESOME. They did a great job bringing back what made the first MK on Sega so popular. It is fast, the "language" of the moves is easy to learn, and the graphics are phenomenal. The new "X-Ray" special moves are so graphic that I can't play the game with our little girl in the room (unless Mom is there to shield her eyes).
And there's a ton of depth as well. Beyond the usual ladder there are tournament and on-line modes, DLC coming soon, and a lot more I haven't even begun to explore yet.
And it's worth every penny at the new-in-box price, which is not something I say about most games. If you were into MK before it got all mainstream and kludged then this is highly recommended!

Yeah, I've been looking forward to this one for a while, just been too busy to stop and pickup a copy. I think I will have to run and grab a copy tomorrow. So much for being productive tomorrow...........

Down Down Down - B BABEALITY!!
LOL
PS There's a great iphone (and others) app called MK2011 that stores all the combos, moves, etc for each player. Frequently updated too! Helps my old-man brain keep all the moves in-check. (and no, I am not associated with the authors of the app in any way).
