congrats! I love mine. It was awesome that within 5 minutes from opening it up, I was up and running and on the internet. Print screen is apple(command) + shift + 3, when you click those it brings the picture to the desktop. For getting a specific portion of the screen click apple(command) + shift + 4, this will turn your cursor into a thing that allows you to drag what part of the screen you want captured.

Thanks! It's importing 1000's of photos into iPhoto. I feel so overwhelmed.
1) I have to get all my photos organized.
2) I want to learn how to use .mac, and publishing photo galleries and web things to it.
3) I want to learn iMovie and iDVD and how to import videos from y vid camera, etc.
4) I need to learn the basic Mac OS... simple commands. The file system (where stuff is stored), how to reformat some of my external drives b/c they're using NTFS right now.
5) I want to find what programs on the net I need to get downloaded like Handbrake
6) Gotta figure out how to run iTunes on my Mac and my XP laptop... if possible at all for my iPhone so I can synch w/ it while traveling and then use the mac at home.
7) My home stuff like quicken and word and excel things moved over...
8) I don't even know how to change simple things yet like desktop settings, resolution, icons n the bar below... or desk top
9) Gotta setup Time Machine and an external drive or maybe buy a Time Capsule
10) iChat setup and how to use.
11) TONS OF other things
12) Then have to teach my wife! haha
I feel like what old people probably feel like when they get on a PC for the first time. I feel for them. I used to be a MS expert. I now hate MS. Now, I'm starting over...
This is why I don't ever snow board. I just don't want to start over. Well, I'm finally doing it. I think I'll love it. It's beautiful and amazing.
EDIT: One other thing I have to do... continue to buddy up to 4Wheels. haha. He has some, ahem, connections that are helpful.

1) organizing photos is quite easy once you have them imported. all you do is make events and drag the photos pertaining to those events and there you go!
4) to reset drives all I did was basically erase it and it was correctly formatted.
5) handbrake is MUST!! link: HandBrake download the GUI one.
8) to change general settings, click the black apple in the top left and go to system preferences, after that, its pretty self-explanatory
10) to set up iChat, you select what type of account you use, type in the password to it, and your ready!
have fun!

OK.... iPhoto is amazing!!
And damn...it sure makes all my pictures look so much better than they do on my laptop.
Also, I can now really see the diff b/w my SLR and other cameras. Man... this is sweet.
I still have so much to learn... and dammit I need to go to bed!
