Iphone questions.

I need help. I NEED a new phone. I currently have a Palm Treo 750 and have used the Palm devices for years and had great luck with them. My latest phone locks up and drops calls on a ridiculous frequency. I want an Iphone but it lacks a couple of features that I use on a regular basis. I really need a phone that I can send pictures off of. I am on the road all the time and use my phone to send pics of items that I am selling. The Iphone does not allow you to text message pics to people. Those of your that have them, do you miss this feature? Is there a way around it?

Any other complaints on the Iphone that you want to voice before I bail off into this thing?

I have an iPhone and I hate it with a passion. The radio is crap so I get a lot of dropped calls, the MMS thing is royally annoying (not only can you not send picture SMS, you can't receive them either. It gives you a url and some random string codes to type in to retrieve your picture from a browser). The speakers are really quiet, even though the headphones. I can never hear a damn thing when I'm in my car. The phone is completely useless unless you hack it, and then you have extra hassle and the possibility of bricking the phone. If you want your phone to do anything more than look cute and make phone calls (albeit poorly), stay away from the iPhone.

Thomas,

If you want to send pictures there is the option to simply email it directly from the iPhone. Other than that I love mine and I use it for email and just about everything else. I can't wait for the big upgrade in June.

The speaker isn't loud enough. Other than that, I am 95% text and e-mail, and I love mine. Awesome screen real estate, instant stock quotes and weather updates, great calendar, decent camera, and awesome for displaying photos. My phone service is excellent too.

Almost everything I do is screen intensive, and this is the best screen out there. Ease of use and intuitive software is just a bonus for me.

on ATT it was total crap but since I've unlocked it and put it on t-mobile I totally love mine. I was a die hard blackberry guy before. As others have said, you can simply email the pictures.

Speaker volume is definitely an issue, as are a couple other small things but in general it's a fantastic device (and i HATE apple with a passion so that's saying a lot).

I absolutely love mine. At first it was more of a toy, but it has since become my business phone as well. I love it over my old crack berry.

iPhone blows away to where it's not even close ... blackberry's and other suck ass phones.

When 2.0 comes out and we have 3G along with enterprise outlook abilities, it's going to get even better. I'd be surprised if the SMS doesn't get fixed.

Even without Outlook email on it for work (I still get it through the web access though), and SMS, it rules. I email pictures all the time from my gmail account on my phone.

Also with 2.0 (est. June 30,2008), the SDK will be widely available and people will be developing amazing apps for it. There already are great ones, but it will only get better.

Scott, is 2.0 a firmware update, or a new phone?
