I am only using it for shows and movies not on Blu-ray.

Netflix is only streaming compressed 1080p (at some point) and regular 5.1 audio at 512Kbps (if you can get yours to work, I only get stereo and not surround).

Blu-ray uses over 1.5Mbps in AUDIO alone, which is why they sound so much better.

And Blu-ray uses over 25Mbps in Video.

So no, Netflix doesn't have that kind of bandwidth to do this kind of super high quality streaming.

I have to say though, it was nice to watch Buck Rogers on my TV via streaming. But for say, Saving Private Ryan, I'll stick wtih Blu-ray for quality.

Ah, good to know - I'll stick to renting Blu-Rays then.

Unfortunately my router is upstairs and my PS3 is downstairs, so I almost never get HD quality streaming. Might convenient though, so I can't complain.
