With all assists off, get in some of the really twitchy cars - V8 Supercars, etc. and try driving 10/10ths. I swear until you get a real feel for the car, you spend 3/4 of your effort just keeping it on the road.

The physics engine is truly great. I'm loving this game.

Rivals mode is awesome! Just tried to beat one of my club members in the Nurburgring Full Time Attack and got ridiculous exp. Got to level 6 affinity with Pagani after 4 laps from level 0, got a **** load of money from that alone, plus the money for hitting level 70, and then money from payout for attempting a rival. Don't have the exact amount i won but it was like 400k.

Totally agree!

The new physics are kind of hard to get used to, but once you get them down, you're able to predict the car a lot better. When I first played around with the new physics, I thought drifting would be impossible because of how quickly the cars snap back, but I bought an R33, did a RWD conversion and tuned it up for drifting, and it works fantastically. It does exactly what you tell it to do, but if you get to technical with the drifts and try to do anything "un-realistic" (but was previously possible in FM3), you get snapped back and thrown into the wall. Its really nice once you get it down.

And I'm also noticing that the AI does in fact get harder as you go along. And for the first time in the history of any Forza game, I'm actually having entertaining battles with the AI drivers. I also like how the don't drive flawlessly. Quite a few times I've seen them get into major accidents with each other.

I think one of my favorite parts of the game is the Nordschleife track day challenges.

But I don't have live anyway, so no matter. At least the list lets you know what choice of cars you'll have before your next level up so you can go test them out.

BTW, if you do a lap in the Kia CeeapostropheD on the Top Gear test track, you get a pretty cool achievement unlocked.
