If you like/love Gran Turismo than yes. The online portion is just racing friends/other people, and gifting/trading cars. but at some point u are supposed to be able to use other people B-Spec driver in your races to help them lvl faster. I would have bought the game if I didnt have net regardless.

Yes. I haven't tried the online mode so far, but I still find the game very entertaining. The licenses and some of the races are very challenging.

I've used the racing soft tire on several races and haven't come close to degrading it. These were 5-6 lap races (15 min or so of time). I haven't tried them on anything longer.
Racing medium seems to be a good compromise...

Finished the special license (but most levels only in bronze and none in gold). How to finish them all in gold with only a standard ps3 controller is beyond me....impossible IMHO.
Somehow I can't be bothered to do the B-spec races. I find them extremly boring and my driver seems stupid as fvck. 300hp advantage and he still refuses to overtake the car in front.
