been looking around and can't find a g27 for less than $300 or a g25 used anywhere on CL. Is this the absolute must have wheel for this game or is there an option I'm missing?

I'm going to pick up my PS3 after work today and set it up so I'll be ready on Wednesday.

Does anyone recommend a good first game to get? I'm debating between F1 2010, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (the new one), or maybe some shoot 'em up game.

^ MGS4 was awesome, Infamous, COD games are good. Depends on what you're into.

A good "shoot 'em up" game you'll find for cheap is Uncharted 2. The online mode is an absolute blast.
I will never buy a game that doesn't have online multiplayer.

There was a special on Logitech a month or 2 ago 225$ for the g27, but it was US only. Never seen any for less than 300$, annoyingly enough.

B SPEC, you have to stand there and watch and direct the race or else.
There are Pits, tire change etc.. you still have to do "manually".

Maybe instead of truncating my whole comment, you'll read it. I have ground to stand on regarding my statement. Hell, GT5:P wasn't even a "real" game and they released free cars for it. I think the $5 for ~10 cars is probably likely, since now a precedent has been set. Who knows? GT5 has kept everyone guessing for years...

ya but if you're playing the 24hr of the Nurburgring, I wouldn't call you a wuss if you put it on B-Spec while sleeping at night and letting it do its thing

Hell I've logged many hours on the previous GT games but I will never sit and play one track for 24 hrs

What's the going rate on a used PS3 + controller? Trying to find one on CL that's decently priced.

less than a week before GT5 comes out? You'll be lucky to find one for under 1,000,000,000$.
