Toss up between Ronin & Vanishing Point for me.

Always loved this from Tomorrow Never Dies though.

Le Mans as a movie sucks ( and im the biggest McQueen fan ), but as a showcase for Le Mans and that era of racing it is priceless.

One of the best classic car chases ever is in "The Seven Ups" with Roy Sheider... The rest of the movie isn't bad either but there is a hardcore chase through manhattan that goes on for the better part of 10 minutes and ends with a massive crash.

I'm sorry... I just watched the french connection and the car chase sucks...

IMHO a car chase involves... TWO cars, not a car and a train... boo hiss... I was left underwhelmed by the entire film.

no mention of the Blue Brothers?

It's a classic.

It's hard for me to rank. In no particular order:

Vanishing Point
Bullitt
Ronin
The French Connection
BluesBrothers
Honorable Mention: Cannonball Run

The Original Gone in 60 Seconds has a pretty one good too.
