Mag

Has anyone seen anything on this game? Looks pretty cool, my brother pre-ordered it, so I'll get to try it out. Then let you guys know how it was.

From Zipper Interactive:

MAG is an online, 256 player, first person shooter for the PlayStation 3. Join a Private Army. Grow your skills. Wage war against the opposition and claim victory for your faction!

I played the "beta" (it was pretty closed to a finished product) and it was so-so. If you like to camp and/or snipe, it might be fun, but the aiming mechanism is pretty tough. The controls are a lot like MW2, but there's just something "not right".

I want to like this game (like I wanted to like SOCOM:Confrontation), but I can't see it pulling me away from MW2.

I tried the SOCOM games and never could get into them at all, probably because I sucked to much at them. My brother loves them, and said the game play in MAG is like SOCOM. We'll see once he gets MAG if I'm gonna like it or not.

The video on youtube do make it look interesting thought. The camp/sniper comment chris made was exactly what I said to my brother. If thats the case then the games gonna suck.

Yeah the beta sucked. It was cool creating your own guy's camo, weapons, etc., but past that... meh.
