I find the game more difficult to enjoy when there are three 13 year olds giving the entire team a play-by-play commentary of their every kill...

 

yeah I usually mute people who just sit there and talk on the mic. Plus I find it hard to hear everything else going on in the game if there are people spamming the mics

 

Me too, I seem to regress the more I play. I started off doing well, and now I just seem to end up with twice as many deaths as kills.

I get so frustrated I just have to turn it off after some games.

 

You need to slow down. Don't just run through the map looking to shoot the first person you find. Have a strategy, take your time.

Work the outside of the maps--that completely removes one flank to get killed from. Don't be without a strategy. Work the map with a plan: run into this building, look outside the door, run to the concrete barrier, crouch, shoot the enemy running through the middle of the map, enter the next building. Don't forget to check your rear.

If there's a spot you know enemies frequently run out of, find a spot where you are somewhat protected, go prone, kill the enemy when he walks through, then move.

If you're camping, don't sit in the same spot the whole game. Kill a couple of people then move. If you don't, they WILL return to kill you.

Have a strategy, take your time.

 

^ I think you might be right. Ever since I created a knife class I just run around all the time like a madman.

 

I had that same problem, I would move around through the maps too fast or sit in one spot to long. Once I figured out to take my time and essentially creep around I've been doing much better.

 

The problem with strategizing, flanking, etc. is that the new respawn completely bones you. I can't tell you how many times I've come up behind 2/3 of the opposing team, started killing them (suppressed), then have one I JUST KILLED respawn right behind me. It's my biggest complaint w/multiplayer. It does not reward patient hunting...

 

The whole cash flying out of people when you get the "payback" achievement is pretty corny.

I still like this. I'm not quite as pathetic as I once was.

 

The cash flying out is when the guy you kill has the "Bling" perk - they are so bling, money flies out... Super lame. Nothing compares to the gheyness of the idiotic cowboy guns in it.

 

What's the best standard get up (class) / easiest for a noob to use when playing multi-player?
