I am really impressed with what they did with the Carrera GT. No other video game has come remotely close to getting that car right. It is obvious they spent some real time with it for this installment. It is not so much the high pitched wail that they seemed to capture well, but it is all of the low rpm grumbles and sounds under load that the car makes that they really nailed. It literally sends a chill down my spine racing with that car because of how well they captured many of its acoustical nuances.

 

^Thank you for sharing that Josh. I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear an owner of a real CGT give their impressions of the car in the game vs. the car in real life.

 

Are any of you guys game for seeing who can get a bone-stock, zero-adjustment from the way they give it to you, CGT around Laguna Seca the fastest? Just post your best time. Honor system. I am booting up the game now to see how I can do.

Edit - I just ran 5 quick laps in the CGT at Laguna Seca on Free Play/Hot Lap and got a best of 1:31. I feel like I can dip below 1:30 with a little more practice. The CGT was bone stock and I had the assists set on "Hard"

 

I just did a 1:27.6 in the CGT (stock) with only ABS on my second lap.
