You must get the wheel and pedals... so much easier once you get used to it for small steering inputs and corrections, pedal modulation, etc.
I am also going to get a seat/stand to mount such as Playseat Playseats Playseat racing simulation cockpit Xbox 360 wheel G25 Logitech to complete the nerddom.

By unlock do you mean made available to purchase for people who don't have the LE (so you can get the Scud etc.)?

I just bought a wireless adapter for my Xbox last night and was able to dl the VIP cars (I have the super awesome edition). The GT3RS is very fun to drive, as is the ZR1 (prepare to counter-steer).
After that I dled the new cars incl. GTR, 458, etc. Seems like a new game again!
