Noise cancellation Headphone Q for Mike

What are some noise cancellation headphones that you recommend?

For example, is this thing any good?

I'm not audiophile, but I have to say that I have the Bose phones and love em. They do a great job. Or at least I think they do a great job.

I'd love to hear the response to this question too.

The PXC 450 are a great option. I usually have them in stock but if you are interested in a pair, let me know and I can order them for you.

As Steve said, if you really want isolation, I would go for in-ear with a pair of Comply foam tip. The isolation will be just as good if not better and you can easily travel with them.

In ear is not an option.

This is for my MIL who busted her Bose noise cancellation.

Just for my own comfort before I recommend to my MIL, is the PXC 450 better than the Bose?

I had the Bose QC3 and the PXC 450. I was just not a fan of the way the Bose fit, after some time I just couldn't keep wearing them. The PXC 450s were very comfortable and sounded great, I used them on a 14 hour flight and did not have any complaints.

That's comparing apples to oranges IMO. To compare the PXC 450s, you would want to try the Bose QC2. The QC3 is an on-ear fit, where the PXC 450 and the QC2 are around the ear fit. I can't stand the on ear fit of the QC3, but love my QC2s. In fact, they are why I splurged and bought the Bose Aviation X headsets for my aircraft as well.

Good point, the MIL has the QC2.

The worksmanship looks very poor to me. One of the earphone piece fell off because the flimsy connector point snapped clean off.

Order placed for my MIL.

I am hoping that this will get here before we leave Maryland so I can check it out too.
