Home Theater Subwoofer for under 2500 bucks

Any recommendations?

I have Dynaudio Foci, so I was thinking of getting the Sub 500.

I wanted to see what other subwoofers you guys would recommend in this price range.

If you shop around a bit you should be able to find a Focal Electra SW1000 for that, which is just about universally awesome.

Thanks. I am looking into that.

I have a few small recording studio guys telling me to get the Dynaudio Acoustics BM14S. Supposedly Dynaudio Acoustics are popular in small recording studios.

What are your thoughts on them?

I have a Martin Logan Abyss, which is well under your price cap (it's around $1,000), and I really couldn't be happier. I actually have two, one in our very small media room (11x14), and the other in the great room, which (including the dining room/foyer/kitchen that are open to it) is probably 30' x 30' x 22' ceiling. In each room, there's plenty of wallop, but it's fast and musical as well.

A pair of these in a stereo configuration is worth thinking about.

I have this one, along with the full Mythos line of speakers. This thing rocks! Oh and I've had it now for about 5 years, no issues.

I have a B&W PV1 and it's a great sub. You may be able to get 2 within your budget.

I wondered about that. Whenever I look at the B&W section of Audiogon, there's always a preponderance of subs for sales. Seems as though people buy them, and don't like them. It's about time they put something solid together.

Guys, I am more confused than ever now.

I sometimes think I should just be impulsive and buy the Dynaudio Sub 500 to match the rest of our Dynaudio stuff and call it a day.
