I haven’t played video games in a VERY long time, I am thinking of buying one now, but not sure what is the best choice for me..
Between Xbox, play station and Game wii.
Which one is more exciting?
What are the most common games?
Thanks in advance.

The Wii is great for multi-player and party type atmospheres, but gets pretty boring if you're just playing yourself.
The 360 has the largest variety of "good games," but the PS3 is catching up pretty quickly. You have to pay for XBOX live (online play), but on the PS3 it's free.
Having owned all systems, not not being a serious gamer myself, I kept the PS3 and got rid of the others. 90% of the usage though is for watching blu-ray movies, so it was worth it to me. The only games I play on it are Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and Grand Theft Auto.
That's my opinion on systems, but since I don't play a huge variety of games hopefully someone else can fill you in on those.

I have X-Box 360, so that's all I know, but I love it. Tons of games to choose from and the online play is phenomal. X-Box live is really the shining feature of this system. I hardly ever play through single player version of games anymore, I just jump on X-Box live right away and start playing against other people.

Not sure if you have kids, or your age, so I'll tell you my preferences...
I am 34 with an 8 yr old daughter.
I have X-box...(The original) and I enjoy playing Forza and some role playing war-type games. Forza is a lot of fun.
I also have the Wii, which is a lot of fun to play with when my daughter wants to play. We have wii sports, wii games, and Rock Band/Guitar Hero. I think the wii is more kid friendly because they can actually play, and excel in the games. She beats me at bowling all the time, which makes it fun for her. We also rented the American Idol game, and she loved that too...
So...for yourself, I think X-box or PS3...with kids, and multi-player "Fun" type atmosphere, the Wii is good.

Wii ftw!!!
unless you are planning on getting serious into gaming then it won't be enough for you.
but for "Casual gamers" like myself the Wii is great. I'm not super into gaming though, I have more fun on Mario Kart and Guitar Hero then I ever would on serious games like call of duty.

My main problem with the Wii is if you ever get a serious itch to play a good racing game... You're screwed.
Forza 2 and GT5:Prologue are where it's at... Admittedly, I had more fun with Forza.
