Looks like the early reviews of Kill Zone 2 are pretty blah.

Barrister you have it all wrong!

It has a 93/100 average from 40 different reviews Killzone 2 (ps3: 2009): Reviews

I think you stumbled upon the Xbox360 fanboy sites

I have a demo copy in front of me that I bought off ebay and I can assure you it is a day one purchase!

I have my single player review written but I refuse to review the multiplayer portion until I can play online with everyone from around the world on the actual servers. But I have been playing against the bots on the maps and it is a whole lot of fun. Lots of vertical-ness to the maps.

Not worded from my review but the 7.1 sound is phenomenal, the lip sync isn't that good but the environment sound effects and the progressive orchestra music is very well done. Shell casings make different sounds on dirt, wood, steel, concrete etc.

The AI is pretty damn good, it is never the same. I was running along some crates and I heard "Shoot those barrels" , I thought - "What barrelsBOOM......oh"

Or, many times they've flanked me and I'll get rifle butted in the back and then when I died the guy did like a wrestler's bicep flex/pose over me, I thought how cool is BUZZ and his helmet flipped off and he was cut down by my team.

They'll run along cover, suppress you while one sneaks, or they'll rush you, or.....it is very well done basically

Man, I'm really looking forward to playing this! Killzone 1 was pretty sick although I haven't played it much.
