Video Games!

Hey Guys/Gals,

I've noticed in the Off-Topic forum quite a lot of us play games, have consoles in the house or might be interested. So, I talked to DJ and I'm going to try to liven this sub-forum up!

I'd consider myself an overall tech-head but I really appreciate video games too as I have a very unique product coming out and is undergoing the Patent process. So I'll definitely feature that here when it's done.

Anywho, I'm going to try and get some traffic to this forum so let's see what we can do!

Brad

Very cool!

I'll definitely enjoy a gaming forum!

Although I usually just get my ass kicked, I enjoy the escapism!

What kind of "product" do you have coming out?

Until then...

Anyone play Combat Arms?

Its fffrrrreeeee...
and fun!

Careful Brian, he is still within the "non-disclosure" period!

I think this is great. I will try to contribute.

I have all three major consoles and a pretty hip gaming PC rig (runs Crysis at about 70 fps on the benchmark).

Right now I am playing GOW2, GRID and I just finished Far Cry 2. I reall enjoyed Far Cry 2.

Best game ever in my opinion: the original Half Life.

Best game recently: Bio Shock.

Man, there is so much potential in this sub-forum. Cool.

Ah nice, I love video games.

Right now I am playing:

Mac:
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich Kng

PS3:
Rock Band 2
Madden 09
Mirror's Edge
Grand Theft Auto IV
Call of Duty 4
Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway

PSN:
Eden
Mega Man 9

PS2:
Shadow of the Colossus

I have Street Fighet IV on pre-order and am about to do the same for Killzone 2 (hopefully putting in the 7.1 Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD system next week!).

I had Grant Turismo 5: Prologue and Metal Gear Solid 4 but I put them on eBay and now I regret it. I need to finish some of these games before I buy anymore. I nitpick too much.

Ahh finally! I've played _a lot_ of computer games and wasted my last years of high-school/first year of college on World of Warcraft so since then I haven't played anything in fear of getting all hooked again . Now though, friend of mine is leaving for asia for 5months so I'll grab his xbox360 and start gaming. I'm sure I can deliver some input and impressions on games since he has over 50 games .

Just watch out, lifebreaker! I got out late, but just in time. Alot of my old high school friends still play 5-8hours a day and they've done since feb 11 2005.

I actually thought of contacting you for advice but I figured I better use a local firm and it just so happens this firm has a lot of contacts when I'm done.

I just finished up GOW 2 and I liked it but it took me too long to really get into it. I was always waiting for that EPIC moment of a massive battle and I only got that sensation a few times. It felt like I was going from fight to fight with walking in between. Not to knock it though as it is a very solid game.

I really like Resistance 2's online Co-op mode but apparently some people don't like the game.

There are a LOT of good games that came out the past few months and I still have to finish a lot of them

Personally I'm anxious to play Killzone 2, tomorrow I'm going to do a post on that to get people up to speed!

WoW is worse than a drug addiction. I've seen people completely dropping their 'real life' for months just to play that crap non stop. I'm glad I'm not into the whole fantasy thing at all and the life ruining potential of WoW actually scares me so much that I don't have the balls to try it out.

I'm not much of a gamer anymore, however I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of Mafia 2. In my opinion the original Mafia is the best game ever made. When 2 comes out later this year I'll probably pick up a PS3 just for that game. Right now I've got a Wii and I only (ocasionally) play Wii Sports on it.

Plus I just downloaded CoD4 last month for my MBP. Although it's already over a year old I was pretty amazed at the graphics, but I also found myself having trouble to keep up with the action. I guess I'm a little rusty after 2 years of basically not playing anything. And when I was younger I used to play for hours at a time, nowadays I get bored after 30 minutes of playing though.

When I get the PS3 I'll probably pick up Bioshock too (or is that xbox only?), the trailers and footage of that game look amazing and I love the whole Ayn Rand-esque setting. And GT5 of course if it ever comes out at all.
