The solid gold Vertu Boucheron 150 makes us hate humanity - Engadget Mobile

According to the designer, it took 1,000 hours to cut into shape, 700 hours to hand polish, and more than 500 hours to build. Funny, it only took us a split-second to wretch. Do the Japanese really prefer these Vertu designs from Nokia over the E71? No price or any real detail announced, just a picture of the enormous packing box after the break.

The things I would blow money on before plowing hundreds and thousands of dollars on that obnoxious and ancient phone includes gold plating my butthole and buying used Canadian clothes on ebay that came from the trunk of an FJ cruiser.

I saw one back in 2006 next to the Majestic Hotel in Cannes, I was asking for the White Gold Rolex Daytona and saw a red Vertu which got my attention. They took 30 minutes trying to convince me of purchasing the phone, showing me the features, limited edition, ringtones etc. I left with " I will think of it and get back to you later". I mean I'd rather have that amount and spend it for 2-3 months of daily expenditures like dining for lunch and dinner rather than making my self more noticeable and a target for theft.
