Thats a NART racing 365GT4 BB, the precursor to the 512BB LM which came later. These cars ran 4.4 liter flat twelve engines, but in the 1978 LeMans race an ex-NART 365 ran with a 5 liter engine. Initially I thought the car pictured was an LM, but it is not

The McLaren F1 is the greatest modern supercar. That was a privilege you had to be there running with it. McLaren built only 64 examples of the standard F1 road car. But beyond this, it also produced five LM ("Le Mans") racing editions, three GT versions and 28 GTR road cars. This along with the 7 prototype versions accounts for all 100 examples ever made. McLaren reports that 21 of those cars were sold to customers in the United States - so sightings are extremely rare! Absolutely the best of the best.
I may kipe that first pic you posted for my personal collection. It is the only modern supercar that I really respect that I have never seen on the road. I have seen a couple at shows, but never had the privilege of actually hearing one run in person. This is my favorite all-time car vid:

That vid uses an LM version.

Thanks DLeo! I'm using a Nikon D200 with an old AF 80-200mm f/2.8D zoom and a 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 kit lens.
Went to a lot of car events so far this year with the purpose of working on the pan shots:
