Seems people so quickly forget what the last super ferrari mule looked like. I personally think this the type of thing we are seeing with the 458 front.

Further evidence that the nanny state + environment freaks have invaded every aspect of our lives. Sure as nice as this car will be, Clarkson was right when he said back in 09 that we are at the end of an era. Battery powered Ferrari's? Give me a break, these things are going to spend most of their life being repaired inside garages from all the over complexities. Too much capital being wasted on complying with ridiculous regulations on every level from saftey to emissions means strange cars(mechanically and aesthetically) are going to be produced in the future. So will this car be the poster car for some greenie celebrity now?

 

So what, you propose that we continue to develop non-sustainable combustion engines forever into the future for the sake of the enthusiast? I think these regulations are great. They force companies to innovate. I think using the F70 as bioler plate is a perfect way to introduce the new technology. I'd wait until you drive it to make any comparisons.

And I dunno but I think the porsche 918 spider and Tesla model S are pretty stunning cars (mechanically and aesthetically). Though I could live without the aston martin cygnet.

Also, I quite like the Fisker Karma. Looks brilliant and I bet it drives well too.

Thing is, we enthusiasts can go on and on, whining about the loss of power and the 'feel' of driving a car powered by a non-fussy IC engine. But tell you what, there are bigger problems out there like the Environment. Wouldn't we want our children and grandchildren to enjoy a safe and clean World? I certainly would.

I'm really looking forward to the F70/new Enzo.

Hope they take a leaf out of Porsche's 918 Spyder and do something no other company has done.

 

Innovations aren't optional here. The future comes and the automotive industry knows it very well. From carburetors to elctronic fuel injection, from air cooled engines to water cooled engines, from GTs with front egnines to mid engined supercars... Hybrids are the next step. Time to move.

That s**t looks like Franken-Ferrari.

Imagine a similar nose like the Tuatara, but with longer headlights, an enormous outake in the middle and a different splitter; a roofline similar to the P4/5 and a big difuser in the middle of the rear. Very low over the front and the rear wheels, even lower than the Enzo on that points. Less angular and more similar to the Castriota designs (for what I heard it's inspired on the P4/5, a design of Jason Castriota).

So. This car is not a "Super Ferrari Mule", but it's true that a prototype can have parts of it other cars.
