Surely they must mean that its a 20% weight drop against the enzo in the carbonfibre tub only, and not the whole car.

If its the whole car it would come in at 1092kg, which i highly doubt..

Yup, the weight decrease is for tub, they're keeping lips pretty tight on the specs of an actual car. But we can expect the car to be very light, because Ferrari aims to make it lightest in class for the many years to come.

Early next year the VIP unveiling will take place, but speaking for public appearance I would place my bet on Geneva auto show next March.

IAA 2013 seems pretty too far away and hard to believe because it will be time to launch hardcore 458 by that time.

The tub is pretty compact and tiny. The car will be very nimble for sure!

"only" 110 hp more ... BUT (!) a lot lighter probably.
Who started with this 1200 hp rumour BS in the new enzo, p1, etc? these cars dont have to as powerful as a Veyron SS. they are a lot lighter. just look at the perfomance numbers of the huayra. weight is everything when it comes to sportscars.

No one was refering to the SS! I was refering to weight/power ratio of Koenigsegg! Bugatti is on another level.

I knew this was a possible objection, also for me weight is fundamental but I simply was expecting a higher number (max 880-900hp combined with kers)
yes Huayra is fab also because all that enormous traction is correctly transmitted to the ground

in the p1's press-release "Power to weight ratio will be more than 600PS per tonne", imho they are keeping secret if it's 620-630 or 650 hp/tonne
