I've sat, driven and photographed one. They're not easy to drive and I'm not sure I'd want to use one on a regular basis. It's gorgeous and an icon for sure but I have severe misgivings about wanting to own one given the cost of maintaining one. I can't believe I said that.

Can anyone comment on the long term durability of the methods used to fuse pieces of the carbon tub together- namely adhesives? I have heard people speculate that the adhesive can deteriorate over time. Is it possible that these cars may have an "expiration date". It does not seem to be a stretch of the imagination. Afterall, the F40 was one of the first cars to implement this method in production. They just steps beyond experimentation in those days. Carbon tubs were used in the 70-80s for race purposes. But, street and race are two very different worlds.
