not to sound like a hater but 700hp + plus slicks, racing transmission + racing suspension e.t.c isn't is supposed to do that anyway? and what record exactly did it break? the one for semi-racing cars with racing slicks on? just playing devil's advocate here

Love the record breaking 599XX, but I also like the quote from Edward Niedermeyer over at TTAC:
