Given all of the buzz around the F40 these days (since Jamie's infamous impulse buy ) I thought I would repost this video.

For me, this is what the F40 is all about.

This is an LM version driven by former F1 driver Jacques Lafitte.

Never mind the language barrier at the start. The F40 speaks the "universal" language once it fires up about 30 seconds in. It is a pure, unadulterated symphony.

Love that video. I posted it about 6 months back. The LM is my all time favorite car. What a powerful, raw beast.

 

HOLY CRAP! That is some serious RAW power. The sense of speed in that video was wonderfully captured! Great video!

Nothing, nothing, nothing comes close to sounding as mean as that F40LM. I hadn't watched that vid in quite some time.

I love when he first gets in and can't get it to go into first gear!

That captures the kind of love-hate relationship you can have with a car and what Jamie has been describing.

You can see the frustration on his face when it won't engage but then the joy when he is WOT.

I also love the fact that he has no helmet and is wearing Top Siders.

Not sure if any of you guys know, but I have read that when this video was made this car had been sitting and wasn't tuned in years. So just imagine what it must have been like AFTER the tuning....
