Two months after Ong Beng Seng’s Komoco Motors were given the rights to distribute Ferrari cars, Ital Auto Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Komoco Motors, celebrates the opening of their new showroom along the Leng Kee Road motor dealer belt. The media and invited guests witnessed the opening ceremony along with Mr Teo Hock Seng, Dealer Principal of Ital Auto Pte Ltd, Mr Amedeo Felisa, CEO, Ferrari SpA and Mr Marco Mattiacci, CEO, Ferrari Asia Pacific. A pleasant surprise was in store for guests when Ferrari F1 drivers, Giancarlo Fisichella and Kimi Raikkonen arrived in a pair of Maserati Quattroportes.

They made a quick pit stop at the showroom with just enough time to leave autographs on the showroom wall followed by a lightning quick tour of the premises. The press barely had enough time to snap pictures of both drivers in the 10 minutes that they were there.

A real treat was left out in the servicing garage for motoring journalists. Over 20 years of Ferrari engineering excellence was on display in the garage. In attendance was a 1987 Ferrari F40, a Ferrari F50 with the jewel of the garage being the ultra rare Enzo Ferrari supercar of which only 400 were ever made.

The new showroom will host the delivery of Ital Auto’s first cars to customers, including the long-awaited California. Having already secured five confirmed orders this year, the owners of the new California can expect to take delivery of Ferrari’s V8 coupe cabriolet in the first quarter of next year.

Ital Auto is currently capable of providing full aftersales support and a fully compliant permanent aftersales facility, which will soon be ready at its Leng Kee Road premises, is capable of servicing up to 10 vehicles at any one time.

Mr Teo Hock Seng, Dealer Principal of Ital Auto Pte Ltd, said, "we feel greatly privileged to have been given the honour of representing Ferrari in Singapore and we look forward to offering our customers as complete an ownership experience as possible." He also added, "We are proud to inaugurate our formal association with Ferrari by introducing the California, a stunning new GT car," added Mr Teo.

Ital Auto promises closer engagement of the customer in every step of the ownership process. The buying experience in the first place will be commensurate with the high-end nature of the product. In conjunction with Ferrari, they promise to give owners access to a global calendar of events and activities geared towards showcasing the depth and breadth of experiences that are integral to Ferrari ownership.
