Funny Enzo Pic
After going through all of my Ferrari pics taken over the past several years, I came across this beauty from the Crystal Cove car meet taken some time in the winter of 2005:

You don't see that every day! The funniest part was that the cop that wrote the ticket kept asking all of us gawkers what type of car it was. We weren't about to help the bozo out. But then someone yelled out that it was a Lamborghini. So that's what he wrote it up as. He was one of those big, boot-strap cops with an axe to grind against anyone with a nice car. Little did he know that he had ticketed the mother-lode of all exotic cars.
I have become friends with the owner of this Enzo over the years since I took this pic. Of course, he just paid the ticket - which was for parking on the red curb.
Ah memories.

No. All that matters is that the cop cited the the proper license plate number. Writing down the wrong make is not a mistake of fact that rises to the level of voiding the citation. Too bad though.

I think the frustration comes from the fact that it was a big car meet and people were parking their cars all over the place. The cop singled out the Enzo becuase it had the biggest crowd around it. No other cars were cited.

Once, I was stopped for speeding in my family van. I was trying to catch a black Ferrari Enzo that passed me through a yellow light onto the freeway. I just wanted to get a look at it. I was going about 80 mph but the Enzo must have been going well over 90 mph - I couldn't gain on him at all. The cop pulled ME over and told me that I "needed to stop racing that Ford GT."
Think about what his though process was:
1. He thought that I was actually racing an Enzo in my '04 Honda Odyssey with my wife and three small children in the car.
2. He thought the Ferrari was a Ford GT.
He cited me for going 70 mph in a 60 mph zone.
Sometimes, cops can be very frustrating.
Jon, did you shoot Plaxico??
