While meeting my friends at Ferrari of Washington for our Sunday Cars & Coffee, I noticed they had a certified 599 GTO. Considering this was a $350-400K car new, I was expecting high $200-low $300K range.... WRONG.

Try $550K. Yes, $550K.

It was a very nice black metallic, silver stripes, black interior, yellow stitching. I guess my dreams of owning a half-price GTO in 5 years is very misplaced.

 

$550 is on the higher end of the spectrum. I have seen a few go for $450-$480 about 3 months ago when I was looking.

I anticipate it to hold, if not gain even more. The latest era of Ferrari cars are/will be so different these cars are going to hold very well.

 

Yeah.... they are up 30% to 35% here
I guess placing the F12's performance just under or at the GTO’s level helped

 

The GTO and the murci SV are at the tail end of an era of raw supercars, getting way more technical and computer aided from here on out. I think they will hold their value.

 

The GTOs I've seen for sale are right at that price range.

There have been a few for sale in AUS for high 600's AUD.

You guys have it so good on the other side with cars about 1/2 to a 1/3 of the price here.

 

I have my Pozzi blue GTO for sale if you're interested. But as mentioned, they are not being given away. An amazing car. I'm only mildly interested in selling but my wife has a cash intensive business she wants to start and well... have to at least entertain the idea.
