F12 Berlinetta Tires

I was wondering about tires on F12, because 740 hp on rwd isn't so simple to transfer on asphalt, well one of secrets lays in Michelin technology. Read about it below:
The Michelin Pilot Super Sport, the world's fastest series-produced tire on the racetrack, will be fitted on the brand new F12 berlinetta, the most powerful Ferrari ever.

The Italian constructor, after their previous successful collaboration related to the development of the tires for the 599 GTO and the FF, the first Ferrari integral traction, has once more chosen Michelin among the original equipment suppliers for their new F12 berlinetta.

The Michelin tires designed for the most powerful Ferrari ever owe their excellence to Michelin's years of success in the world's most demanding endurance races. These include the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in which the tire maker totaled 14 victories in a row. These technologies, issued from the expertise acquired on the racetrack, have been transferred to the road tire lines, like Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Thanks to the following technologies developed at our Research and Development center, Michelin has designed tires capable of enhancing the 6.262cc V12 740-HP engine, which powers the F12berlinetta, to the greatest benefit of the motorist's driving pleasure:

Twaron Belt®
A high-tenacity fiber which provides the Michelin Pilot Super Sport with superior high-speed stability. A key feature of Twaron® is to be very strong and light at the same time, Twaron® is five times more resistant than steel at equivalent weight.

Variable Contact Patch 2.02
Although the patch's shape changes when cornering, the amount of rubber in contact with the road remains the same.

Tri-Compound and Bi-compound Tread
Derived from the technologies validated and used in endurance racing, like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this innovation uses different rubber compounds on the left and right sides of the tread. On the outside, a unique elastomer specifically developed for racing tires ensures exceptional endurance. On the inside, a latest-generation, high-grip elastomer enables the tire (on wet surfaces) to break through the water's surface and adhere to even the slightest irregularity in the road. The sizes of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport developed for the new F12 berlinetta are: 255/35 ZR 20 front tire, 315/35 ZR 20 rear tire.

While the PSS is not as good in the dry as the PSC is it intended to be a more "all around" tire - it does significantly better in the rain and is still wicked in the dry.

What an amazing angle for the F12. And the PSS are great tires, which is evident by the 3.1 0-60 run
