It's the 288 GTO indeed. There is a normal misconception held by most (including yours truly for a long time) that the 288 GTO was created for Group B rallying, when it was in fact created for the GT Group B series that never happened because it was only Ferrari and Porsche (with the 959) that signed up.

And regarding Rossi. He has done quite a bit of rallying actually. Finished 12th in the GB Wales rally back in 2008. Don't remember a lot of other results, but he's no stranger to rallying at least.
