Please welcome the GTO (Warning to anyone with a heart condition)

Well this was a bit of a surprise.
The car looks incredible - paired up with the Carrera GT it is almost heaven on wheels. What a choice to have to make on Saturday morning...
Gary is the perfect customer for a car like this - it will get driven and the performance on offer will not be wasted. His backyard sits in the middle of some of the greatest driving roads in SoCal. I can't wait to hear that V12 scream through the canyons. Those poor sportbike riders won't know what passed them.
Any idea how many GTOs may have been painted in this color so far? I'd imagine it will remain a fairly unique choice with so many simply being painted red. I'm glad you didn't opt for an alternate roof color - haven't seen one yet that I liked that way.
Also, excuse me for not knowing this but how many GTOs are allocated for the USA?

I found somewhat of an answer...
"Ferrari will build exactly 599 599 GTOs, and probably a third of them will reach North America."
If I find something more concrete I'll post it.
Of course they were supposed to build 349 F50s and 399 Enzos and actual production numbers have been calculated at higher than both those figures.

Ferrari initially said they would make 399 Enzos, then later they built a special one they called #400 for the Pope which was auctioned so the proceeds could benefit victims of the asian tsunami. People who track Ferrari serial numbers are well over 400 already for the Enzo, with the suspicion that Ferrari may have built 15-20% more than they said they would.
I'm no expert in that realm, so here's a recent thread discussing the finer points over on FerrariChat with people 'in the know' if you'd like to learn more:
Why so 'mysterioso' with Enzo production?
