Post Quick news - New 612 Update

According to sources in Maranello this is going to be a completely new car. The new 612 (code named 151) will feature all-wheel drive and large trunk that accommodate real luggage. This will be Ferrari's ultimate GT car. Hopefully pics to come soon!

Tech Specs on Ferrari 612 Replacement Model from member MarkoRamius
  • Code Name 151
  • Launched in Geneva 2011
  • New 6.3 Litre V12
  • 7-Speed Dual Clutch transmission
  • 670 BHP
  • 335 Kilometres Per Hour
  • 0-100 Kilometres in 3.7 Seconds

Looks-wise, it is very similar to 458 from the front, and is supposedly a very innovative design from the back

Is AWD standard or an option?

Regardless, I look forward to seeing what Ferrari comes up with and I'm glad they're going to keep the 2+2 GT alive at Ferrari for a while to come.

The awd drive will only be available for a short burst / period... as in when you start moving or wheel loses grip etc... i remember reading it on Autocar or Car magazine

Yes, AWD, totally new design and interior, all-new engine good for 640-650 hp, brand new 7-speed DCT.

Perfect! Ferrari continues to deliver, there's just nothing you can wish for that they haven't already thought of...

Hearing from sources who have seen the car it's a toned down shooting brake style, panamera-ish hatch rear to accommodate real suitcases

Here is a sketch someone sent me they found online (please note this is not the car):
