Not aware of faster shifts (only wheels, suspension, seats).

This is the best GT car yet!! Nice spec, thanks for sharing, GK.
Not a problem! I am pretty sure the HGTE shifts faster than the standard GTB.

You are correct. The HGTE has updated software that allows its fastest shift in 80milli-seconds as opposed to 100ms for the standard GTB.

Nice! Did not know that. Is it also 20mm lower? Coincidence in #s.

599 GTB Fiorano: ~100ms

599 HGTE: ~85ms

599 GTO: ~60ms
The six-speed auto-clutch gearbox returns, but for GTO duty the final drive is six percent shorter -- improving responsiveness across the range. Upshift times have been reduced to just 60 milliseconds -- nearly on par with Fernando Alonso's F10 Grand Prix racer. Most intriguing is a new multiple-downshift feature: Simply squeeze and hold the left paddle while braking for a corner, and the gearbox will automatically drop down through the cogs as engine revs allow.

I LOVE the auto-downshifting. I think the 458 also has this feature but have not been able to confirm.

I saw a Fuji 599 near Paris last week, it looked unreal, the nicest 599 I've seen IRL so far.
