Many reputable Ferrari dealers in Europe started to take deposits for unique limited edition 599 GTO and there are first customers in Germany claiming that they have already placed deposits. There are plenty of sources close to the dealers clamed that representatives from Ferrari are coming to the dealers to discuss this car. From the latest information I understood that it is going to the production late June 2010 with deliveries next fall, official presentation likely will be Geneva auto show next March.

The most interesting part is the rumored specs of the car, if everything I have heard is really true this car will be really something:

599 GTO is rumored to be road version of 599XX with plenty of tech used from this track toy. Weight is rumored to be about 150 less, engine will be reworked and will be good for about 660-680 hp, transmission will be significantly reworked too, car is rumored to be reworked is unique way not just stripped down like 430 Scuderia or Lambos to make the car worth of great GTO name.

It is still not sure if the final product will get GTO name, but now dealers are taking deposits for 599 GTO. In any case this car is rumored to be most powerfull and fastest at Fiorano track Ferrari ever made, until FX70 will come out.
