Thanks for sharing this find. Actually, these pics made me think that Cali looks not so bad at all. But still not my cup of tea, LP560-4 Spyder for me all the day.

good color combo!

it's not a bad looking car at all but for me it would have been more justified with a Maserati badge on the front and a bit lower of a price tag

I am just not getting the Cali at all. My bud's wife's is scheduled to arrive next month so maybe when I drive it I will change my opinion but until then... Nope.

Take the Ferrari badge off a Cali, call it a Lexus and charge $80k for it and it really is not a bad car. The problem is that this is a Ferrari. It is supposed to be beautiful. Its looks are supposed to evoke passion and excitement. It does neither.

When Ferrari announced they were going to make a GT convertible, I had high hopes that they would get it right in the looks department. Especially given the name "California" which they last used on one of the most beautiful and desirable cars ever made. This new California is neither and frankly an insult to the name. Any manufacturer that decides to re-use an iconic name had better get it right and make a car that is a worthy successor to the original.

^^^ I mostly agree with you. If we look at Cali like at supercar to love and to feel passion, it is complete failure, but if we consider that Cali is destigned mostly to the first time Ferrari customers, it makes sense, it is soft, usable as daily driver on most ocassions, rather comfortable, driver-friendly, but at the same time quick and Ferrari-bagded. As most important thing - hard-top convertible. Great competitor for GTC and DB9 convertible, I am predicting not so sweet future for that duo after Cali launch. Ferrari made a car for the masses, they will never feel real F-passion, all they want is to drive F-badged car on weekends and sometimes to the work.

I am not really liking this car at all, would rather have something much cheaper and faster like an M6 vert.

great post

couldn`t agree more...
Even though the performance numbers are great and it does not look too bad,I would somehow feel a bit like driving a girlie car, because the Cali looks so "soft" and tame and might be suitable for Paris Hilton or Britney Spears..

Does not really remind me of the wild prancing horse which embodies Ferrari...

But it would in fact be a great DD with a great Interior, great performance and a Ferrari badge on it...so you can drive a Ferrari, but don`t have to know anything about cars and also don`t have to think too much about bumps, steep driveways etc and drive it like anything else.

well it`s quite suprising that ..

the Cali is a lot faster.

4 sec. straight 0-62
