ok. i will try this. do i need to power brake, or will it let me automatically build up the rpms when i hold the brake?

it is an awesome car with the ability to be driven daily if wanted. probably similar to your SLR in that respect.

 

just logged over 300 miles on my 599 this weekend. the car seems to drive better and better over time. i think the ecu is adapting to the way i drive. the shifts seem to be smoother than when i first drove it. in short, it is a supercar that can be driven everyday. i love it! i am assuming that launch control is not available on US cars. i have no "LC" button and holding the left paddle shifter in race mode does not do anything as well.

 

Just wanted to give my "passenger" impressions - great car, a totally different experience from the more frantic V8 cars. Just awesome.

yes i would. not too many all around cars better than the 599.
