Game Over - Hot 599! Ferrari 599 Handling GTE Package
errari has just sent us word that they will show off some cool new items at the Geneva Motor Show. Aside from the introduction of a new handling package for the 599 GTB Fiorano, the company will also put the Ferrari 599XX on display.
Up first is the Handling GT Evoluzione (HGTE) package being sold as an option for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Ferrari is keeping quiet on the specifics of the package, but they did promise to show off a version of the car, with the package, and painted in a new coat: three-stage metallic Rosso. The car, pictured above, has new alloy wheels with a different five-point pattern than the current offering. Notice too the silver-painted brake calipers. The car will likely have a firmer suspension as well.
Perhaps even more interesting is the global debut of the Ferrari 599XX conceptual study. Although not an outright concept car, the vehicle will show off the latest "technological solutions" being devised by the Italian firm. These systems and functions come directly from Ferrari's research in street driving and F1 racing. The company claims many of these items will be seen for the first time, "and have been developed exclusively for this special car." Unfortunately, they have not supplied any photos of the concept.
The 599XX is also painted to match the Ferrari F2008 Formula-One race car. The racer, which recently took home the 16th Constructors' World title, will also be on display. Other cars being wheeled out include the Scuderia Spider 16M, the 430 Scuderia, and the Ferrari California. The 612 Scaglietti flagship car will also be on display, but in a secluded area only accessible by VIPs, current and potential Ferrari owners.
The two vehicles will be introduced in a presentation by company chief Luca di Montezemolo at 10am on 3 March 2009 during the Geneva Motor Show.
