I agree, the vanquish S sounds phenomenal. I'm afraid the vanquish is the last of the true astons. I am very disappointed at the quality of the new ones. It's a disgrace imo.

Yes, but the gearbox in the "S" still sucks compated to Ferraris, Lambo's and even the Tiptronic in the 911.That gearbox has been such a PIA you wouldnt believe me if I told you in how many infinite ways it has gone wrong over the past years.
Gearbox and the interior sucks, but the rest is to die for. It sounds great also.

Just stay away from 456 automatics and you'll be fine. Like all cars with the Prancing horse, maintenance is expensive and more frequent.

I wouldn't compare it to the 550 but it's arse is fairly good looking.

The fact that nobody can tell its a Ferrari station wagon is what makes the whole design so cool to me.

I like the looks of the 456 for what it is and they are darn cheap these days.

Not officially. It was a one-off made by Pininfarina for the Sultan of Brunei. It's facking badass though. I love it!
