The 599 is VERY fast but to be fair it should be racing the 12-cylinder Lambo. Those 2 cars are also much closer in terms of price as well. Cylinders and price aren't everything b/c the ZR1 beats the 599, 997 GT2 and GTR in a 4-way drag down an airstrip.

Also, the video claims that the Gallardo is an SE, but I'm pretty sure that there were only 250 SE's ever made and they were all coupes

I think one of the 250 burned to the ground, and I think they were all coupes as well.

A year or two ago auto motor sport had them against eachother(599&LP640) in the nardo test and the 599 outperfromed that as well as the SLR in every acceleration test...maybe even top speed.
