I have both LP640 & 599 ... never raced them against each other b4 but I believe from Zero the LP640 would be faster but other than this I think the 599 is faster if not WAY faster!

I've had this kind of discussion a number of times before. When you compare cars in this super realm, the driver has as much to do with outcome as the engine. I had a 996 turbo evo stage 4 with about 600HP. I hav\d my hat handed to me by a guy in a modded Audi TT with a supercharger running at about 400HP. He had experience in a number of racing circuits and didn't mind beating on his car. You never know how the other driver is handling thier car. I have a feeling this would be a bit closer ona track with 2 pro drivers.

Agreed Jay as there's all kinds of fast: 0-60, roll, over 100, road-course, high-speed oval, N-ring, etc. Just like in Track & Field where the 100 is king, we are all hung up on 0-60 which brings the driver, tires/traction and transmission into it BIG-time. Over the years I've found it rare that the cars being compared or "argued" over in benchtop racing are even direct competitors as considered by the consumer or the manufacturer.
