Wink For Sale: Final Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Liter VT SE

Originally, the Diablo VT was the first Lamborghini supercar to use a four-wheel drive system. It was quickly superseded by the SE30 and in 1995 by the SV, however, when the facelift Diablo appeared in 1999, a year later a new VT also appeared. This was the result of Audi’s takeover in 1998, a 6.0 liter V12 was added and a final run of 40 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Liter VT SE’s were built before being replaced by the Murcielago.

Barrett-Jackson will be selling the very last one of those VT SE’s at their Scottsdale auction on January 21st. The VT SE was produced in two colours, Marrone Eklipses and Oro Elios. Number 40 of 40 is a Marrone Eklipsis, pearlescent bronze colour. It’s a true collectors piece having spent its life in a climate controlled US collection. It has just 12 original miles on the clock and the pictures reveal it is absolutely pristine, inside and out.

Among the spec, this Lamborghini includes a titanium threads in the carbon fiber weave for the body and trim, an Alpine premium DVD navigation audio system, exclusive two tone all leather interior and titanium interior trim.
The Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Liter VT SE produced 549 hp and 620 Nm of torque. It wasn’t quite as fast as the 587 hp SE30 Jota, but it did benefit from the Audi refinements. These included superior build quality, a magnesium intake manifold, updated ECU software, a new exhaust and a less aggressive camshaft.
The Final Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Liter VT SE is offered without reserve.

A bit of a correction here..

It should read "This is the LAST NUMBERED" SE in a series of 1-40, with 20 finished in Glod and 20 finished in the Brwon. The number DOES not represent the EXACT production number of the car...

This is a great car, will be intresting to see what it goes for.

They should also have added that it is a Candain VIN car, so it will NOT be 50 State Emissions complaint, only 49, wont tile and pass in California. OD and SPeedo are in KM as well.

I was scrolling down the page to post this. Although, maybe a 570-4 SL. They are fun. But I actually want a Diablo.

And I think Roy knows everything about every Lambo ever built. He's the man!

If we wont to be REAL ACCURATE,

There were actually 43 SE cars produced.

1 a Gold SE is still at the factory in the Museum...there were three SE cars produced for the UK..HOWEVER they were a special order, ALL SE options, whoever where sprayed in colors ordered that were not the Brown or Gold.

^^^ I think that's because early murci was improved while Diablo was already optimized. comparing early murci to diablo, i dont know if i would take the diablo.
