Can anyone help me with this Diablo?

This beautiful Diablo VT parked by my at the mall a couple of months ago and I was trying to figure out what year it was. I don't know a whole lot about Diablos except that I have quickly fallen in love with them. Unfortunately these are the only 2 pics I got. From my research I think this is something like a 94 Diablo VT roadster. Can anyone help me confirm?

Not positive, didn't look it up but I think its a '97, but you looked it up so you're likely right, yea it is a VT roadster, nice spot, I like the wing.

97-98, I think those where the first years the VT Roadsters came out.

Cool, thanks guys. 3 for 3 means I am going to listen to you all. 97 is probably right, I didn't do a lot of research and was kind of guessing. I too love the wing though. I see pictures of similar ones without it and it just doesn't look right.

Its a first generation VT roadster, between 95-98 and produced nearly 210 units. Second generation has a clear and fixed headlambs.
This one is probably 97ish revised front bumper gives a hint for me. Hope it helps...

You are all close..

96 cars were made for everywhere BUT USA..then 97 and 98 cars came to USA with pop up headlights and 17" wheels..then the 99 arrived with 18" wheels and open fixed lights..

HOWEVER this is a Mid-Year car..it is not a 97..it is a 1997 1/2, the give away sign is the front black airbag addition on the passanger side. These "bolt" on airbags, (all in black) where added per DOT requirments for USA car during mid-year production.

Also the brake calipers have been painted as they never came from the factory in any other color but Black for 96,97,98 Roadsters.

There are a few strrange things on this car..
1) the CF wing was not an option ofr 97 cars, only painted..so this has been added.

2) Also view the tailights, the bezzels have been painted body color, all tailight bezzels came in red reflective for a DOT requirment of reflective light size. The taillight lenses on the cars had NO reflective material in them.

3) Also look weird, hard to see, but it appears the tailight is a 6.0 taillight, the end one looks to be orange with the third of it white reverse lights..and the lenses are way smaller than the 96-98 cars..I have seen a few cars that had the taillights swaped out to the upgraded 6.0 taillights for looks...looks like that may have happened here as well.
