Countach 5000 QV Turbo black paint / red leather chassis # HLA12047
It is believed and for 99% sure, that this Countach was converted into a turbo-version from the well known swiss Ford-GT40-mechanic and car-designer Franco Sbarro. Next to this he converted a red painted / black leather Countach (a 5000S, chassis # unknown) into a turbo-version. He was asked about this 2 conversions, but he couldn’t or wouldn’t remember on this cars. Maybe he was young and needed the money. – Well, the black one has had a bad looking crash.
6.
Countach LP 400 Turbo, chassis #1120004, converted by Bob Wallace, and today it is in the process to re-built into the original condition.
7.
Countach QV Turbo, converted and still located in the USA. Sorry, but I have no more infos about this car.

Hey Lamberko, welcome to the team. Your english is just fine!
That's a lot of info you have on the Countach, thanks for sharing and clearing everything up for us
So how about yourself, do you drive a Lambo as well?

Hey JuciBox, Ludas and Emmanuel, thanks for the welcome.
Here some facts about myself:
I was an 8-years old boy when my father bought his first Porsche. That was in the middle of the '70th. It was a silver painted 914/6. The middle-engine with targa-roof. He worked for Volkswagen in Wolfsburg as an engineer for prototyps. And based of the connections he has had, and the contracts between Volkswagen and Porsche, my father was able to buy this 914/6 and it was a "test-car" direct from Porsche. Based on the contracts between Porsche and Volkswagen, and based on the fact that it was "used" for some tests of different break-components, this car was to buy for less money. If I remember right, he hold that 914/6 for 2 or 3 years. Later he sold this test-car for more money he ever paid for. What a lucky deal.
Next Porsche was one of the very first 924. And this was a prototyp too. I can no more remember what Porsche was testing on this 924, but my father kept this 924 for 1 year (at that time the members of Volkswagen had to hold the cars for 12 month before they could sell the cars to the public). And again he was able to get more money for his car. So, my father was able to buy a new Porsche every 12 month. And every car was a test-car or prototyp. Later some Porsche like 924 Turbo, 924 Carrera GT, 944, 944S, 944 S2, 944 Turbo, 911 Turbo, 928, and so on, were followed over all the years.
Most of these cars were "test-cars" with only a few kilometers driven when he was able to buy this cars direct from Porsche. But there were a handfull prototyps with details you will never find on the "public-versions". I can remember very well on a 944 with the typical "PORSCHE"-script. But this script were not between the rear-lights and the rear-bumper like all the normal 944 have. No, the script "PORSCHE" was special made into the large glass-rearhood. Sorry, but I don't know the correct name or how you call it in english language. Another special detail was the Porsche-badge on the seats. Today you can order this, but at the time the 944 was built, it was unable to order. With such prototyps Porsche tested what would be possible and payable. But they decided, that it would cost to much money to bring these details into the production. Today I could cry that my dad sold this very special 944. With these details it was an absolut one-off.
You can see, that I grow-up with Porsche. As a little boy I sat on the passenger-seat very lucky and proud about my dad when we drove on the streets or when we met other Porsche-freaks at club-meetings. At that time Porsche was the greatest for me. That's how I got the petrol in my blood.
At some meetings there were not only Porsche to find. Other enthusiats came with there "exotic" cars; like Ferrari or Maserati or Lotus or what ever. For me all these cars had a very interesting design and so much art-of-technic, and so I have must learn more about these brands/makes. I was still a young boy when I came from Porsche to all the other sportcar-manufacturers. I grow up; my interest in cars grow up; my knowledge grow up.
Well, I can remember, that I was 14- or 15-years old and that it was a rainy day when I sat at home and read the new bought car-magazins. And I remember well, that in one magazin there was a battle between exotic cars. One was a Ferrari 512 BB carburator, and the other was a car I never saw before. It was called "Lamborghini Countach 5000S". With the great eyes of a teenager I was impressed about the look of a Countach. With open doors, and with a large wing mounted on the hood like the space-shuttle from the NASA. And exactly this was the very special day I falled in love with the Countach. And from this day on, I collected everything what I could get on infos about Lamborghini. And it holds on till today.
The 2nd Lamborghini later I falled in love too, is the limited "Diablo GT". Well, next to all the other Lamborghinis ever built and all the Ferrari and Porsche and Lotus and all the other exotics, today my biggest focus is on these two models. The Countach and the Diablo GT.
Myself do not own a Lamborghini, but I know so much about these cars and I know many people who own exotic cars, that sometimes even the owners come to me and ask me about some facts or details about their own cars. Sometimes a real freak knows more about a car than the owner himself. *smile* And I built my own Diablo-GT-registry, because the registry you can find in the web is not correct in some details; and even not only on questions about the GT. Have contacts to japanese GT-owners, and to european GT-owners. They give me a lot of infos about their GTs, like VIN-number or color-combinations, but I respect their wish not to open my own registry for the public. But I could tell you witch of all the GTs ever built is a one-off in the color-combination or the special customized details direct from the factory, and witch is not. And not every owner is telling the truth, for example when he say his GT would be a one-off in the color combination. - But this all would be too much and too off-topic. Oneday maybe more.
With greetings from Germany,
Lamberko
