Porsche Carrera GT Correction & Full Car Film Wrap
CGT in for it all........................... correction of all defects, then entire vehicle wrapped by Kris Ong of CFT Films and Evan of Pacific Films in Southern California as requested by the owner. The new owner bought this vehicle in Long Island NY after a cosmetic thumbs up from Matt & Eddie @ Detailing dynamics, after a enclosed trailer cross country trek the vehicle arrived at my shop for the needed correction.
After the vehicle was thoroughly washed I set about to hunt down defects from this low mileage Porsche CGT.
Hard cut required.
Rotary holograms under the removed old film.
Deep marring and holograms.
Factory sand scratches to be removed many years later.
Factory badge would need to be removed not only for correction but for the wrap later than re-affixed.
Many areas of the car would preclude machine correction, so old school methods employed to remove the defects.
Sanding scratches.
Defects leveled.
Before with defects.
Compounded out.
Correcting all painted surfaces.
Now that the paint was where it needed to be clarity wise, the tedious work of wrapping the entire car.
Kris & Evan showing the skills.....................
At this time I had two teams laying film, So.Cal and my film guy Johnson Lin of Mach 3 wrapping a Gen 1 997 GT3.
Mirrors removed by Carlsen Porsche lead tech Christian for a seamless wrap.
2005 rubber seals with the dryness...............
Cleaned up and dressed to a satin sheen.
Badge re-affixed, cleaning non-wrapped areas.
Cleaning the interior while the film sat( I like to let film set for a day if possible then polish and apply whatever LSP is chosen).
All business interior.
Film polished, LED scrutiny passed once again.
Demonstration of film clarity.......................reflection of my business card.
Engine pics.
Carbonbracing with the clarity.
All tight areas dialed in.
Daniel from Car Connoisseur who services the Calabasas/West Valley area of So.Cal was up to help on this car and three others(16M, Scud, Tesla P85) with his experienced skill set.
