New Car Prep For E-63 AMG Sport Wagon
Just completed, this beautiful and powerful Obsidian Black AMG Sport Wagon demonstrates the need for getting a "Brand new car" prepped properly to start things off right. At first glance the car did not seem to need much.....upon further inspection though the finish had quite a bit of contaminates embedded in the paint and the wheels and wheel wells needed some attention as well.
First off though was preperation for clearfilm installation @ Premier, quite a bit of the car was being wrapped so this is where I began.
Verified that the finish is ready with a LED flashlight.
There was a decent amount of marring on the topside of the rear fender.
Ready to go.
Handed off to Premier.
After the car was returned from film installation, I deconed the rest of the surfaces including all paint & glass. Quite a bit contaminates for a car with 9 miles on the odometer.
Marring on the drivers door.
Same area after all the correction steps were carried out.
Rear bumper needed some attention.
"B" pillars with soft black paint, so a good amount of marring.
After first pass with Megs D/300 and cutting disc, a little hazing but it cleans up quickly with finer polish and foam pads afterword.
Cleaning leading edge of the glass.
New 6.3 motor which puts out 550 hp I believe(Driving the car over the short trip to Premier I could feel the power, and the cylinder de-activation was ...........different).
Personal accountability from the actual AMG tech who assembled the engine.
A few interior pics, very little was needed in the clean up of this area.
