What anti-fog solution works ?

Rain-x is a joke..not only does it not work at all, it leaves a nasty streak on the windshield.

Rain-X isnt for fog, their Fog-x is (you might have meant that)

Fog-X works great BUT firstly you need to understand what contributes to windows fogging.

As people know fog is moisture, and buils up to be fog with a difference in temperature and humidity on two sides of a material or in this case glass.

A BIG contributing factor to how easily your windows fog up is actually cleanliness(is that even a word :P). though a window looks clean it can have microscopic particles on in this in turn "hydrophillic" in a way meaning it actually attracts or witholds water particles. Due to having a higher surface tension than completly clean glass. This in turn forms fog easier.

Proof of this is I bet that your back window always fogs up prior to front....contributing factor? windows down air flowing in does it blow particles straight to the back window or the front one....the back of course and that is why it fogs up first

So in turn....Use a microfibre towel (remember when you wash it now softeners and no bleaches or you will ruin the charge and particles) with a glass cleaner fortnightly. Then once a month apply fog-x and you will NEVER have a problem again .

Sorry for the long reply but hope it helps

Detailer, you are far more helpful than almost all the detailers on this forum.

gmaccormack is an unknown quantity at this point
He's not sponsor. And no one is going to ship their car to oz for a detail so he's not worried about sharing his expertise. In other words he's not a carbonehead.

First time I have ever been told that lol

Its only simple product knowledge and information so no point in not sharing it IMO. If I didnt tell you, you could call any shop such as detailers domain and speak to someone like Phil who would tell you anyway. All I am doing is making life easier for you by not having to make that call
