I have detailed many private jets and helicopter and ALWAYS never touch the windows with anything other than water, pilots tell me it causes static.

Next time I polish out plastic aircraft windows I'll do a little write up about it. The biggest problem is polishing the inside without slimming the interior!! I may have a P-51 coming up soon that will need the canopy polished.
