^^^^^^^

Aren't you in San Diego? If you have places in LA, sure, I would go and wash my car there.

So who comes and give you the ticket? Prior to this guy moving in, everyone in the 4 unit complex have gotten along quite happily, washing the car, whatever.

Then this guy comes along, and he was trying to stop one neighbor from washing his tennis shoes in the community laundary because "shoes are really dirty and unsanitary."

And calling the HUD on the landlord takes the cake. WTF man?

I can just imagine him calling the city if any one of us tries to wash our cars.

And yes, I need to buy a house. I'll buy when Uboat does.

I just moved to SD two months ago. My car washes are in santa barbara county.

Since it is a city law, the police would be the ones to enforce it.

I saw go ahead and wash your car. Tell your neighbor to call the city and/or cops on you. I think he'll waiting for quite a long time for the LAPD to show up and write you a car wash ticket. I think they might have better things to do.

So then the answer is no, that's interesting, never knew that.

I wonder how the detailer peeps get around this. They have to have run into this with some jerky neighbors...
had neighborhoods that said I couldn't do it.....I just did it anyways..never had a problem

So if rainwater touches your car and takes rust, oil and gasoline with it down the sewer - fine. But if water from your garden hose does the same - illegal?

New Jersey put out a law like that for detailers...they have to recapture their water.

My inhoue counsel looked over the LAMC, I am good.

The LAMC is badly written by a not very good lawyer.
