Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner, Adam's APC, Prima Nero/Wheel Armour in action

Sonax Full Effect, Adam's APC, Prima Nero and Wheel Armour in action.

Figured I would post how these all work together.

These dirty Audi Q7 S-Line wheels (about 1 month of brake dust) were cleaned with Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner (no brushes where used, just a pressure washer and the wheel cleaner). The tires were cleaned up with Adam's APC. After the rims and tires where dry, we applied Prima Nero on the tires for a satin finish. Prima Wheel Armour to them for a durable finish and nice shine.

Wheels were extremely caked up with brake dust

Adam's All Purpose Cleaner does a very effective job of cleaning all the grime off the tires, readying them for dressing.

Clean wheels and tires

Prima Nero and Wheel Armour to finish them up.

Final results look impressive!

No brushing at all on the wheels just the cleaner and pressure washer? Impressive!

Sonax Full Effect is the shizzle. Better then P21S gel in my opinion.

By a long way Sonax is better, and P21s is a awesome product to begin with!

Is the sonax wheel cleaner safe to spray on the brake calipers?

Some guys have had some minor discoloration issues on iron calipers, but that normally because its just starting to break up the carbon deposits stained into it.
Painted calipers is all good, just dont let it dry on the surface and make sure that they are completely cool before you start.
Only thing in not 100% sure about is if its safe on carbon/ceramic breaks, P21S I know is, but you shouldn't really need that on them.

your better off using car wash soap and water for ceramic brakes.

Hi Phil,

What would you recommend using for cleaning/protecting very sensitive finishes on aftermarket wheels? Most of the cleaners I have found so far are too harsh for our anodized lips, painted chrome finishes, or end up fogging up some clear coated wheels.

Thanks!

on non cleared stuff you will give up some of the shine.

Swissvax Autobahn or Prima Wheel Armour would be good.
