I think you may have the 50/50 term confused. When I say 50/50 I am referring to a split difference between a polished and unpolished part of the car. Like on the door I put tape down the middle to show one side polished and the other not and thats called a 50/50.
On the wing are you referring to the polisher or pad I am using maybe?

One more question if I may.
I will be sealing and waxing my RS this weekend. What should I do to the carbon fiber wing, if anything. Should I seal and wax it also? (I'm using Wolfgang sealent and wax)
Thanks again, Rich

Treat the carbon the same as the rest of the paint, its clearcoated so there wont be a problem. The WG sealant is fine as is their wax, if you have your heart set on applying both products just allow adequate curing for each one.
Apply the WG sealant in a thin even coat, trust me thin coats work far better than thick and they buff off like butter. Let it haze on the finish for 20-30 minutes and buff off completely. Let the car sit for at least 8 hours to make sure that sealant is fully cured and then if you like you can apply your wax on top, again thin layers are best.
Buff off wax after 10-15 minutes and then again let the car sit for 8 hrs. or so. Once everything is fully cured go back with a fresh microfiber and some cold BOTTLED or DISTILLED water and do a light misting wipedown. This will get rid of any smearing the wax or sealant left behind.
Take your time with everything, especially the prep. Make sure any (if any) dealership wax or glaze is stripped off the car and you gently clay it before applying your new wax and sealant.
Best of luck with your mega machine.... if you let me drive it I will do all the above free of charge, lol.
