Porsche 996 GT3 Correction/Clear Film/Go Fast Goodies

Long time client just picked this car up to save his 997GT3RS from track duty, interior is really nice but the paint.............. it is a black car and has some issues.

This will be a ongoing thread showing the prep for clear film and the installation of that @ Premier, then going to Sharkwerks for everything they have for this model car and finally returning to me for the rest of the detail.

Initial condition

This car was beading alot, so a de-contamination(mark v) was needed along with claying, after two hours the finish was free of wax and silicon oils and stopped beading

This is how the finish looked after all the wax removed........

When I said "all the wax was removed" I meant almost all..... here is some build up AFTER the thorough wash and clay!!!

Hood taped off for 50/50 pics

After compounding

Drivers door with a "some marring".............

After compounding and intermediate polishing

Look for updates on this post as the week goes by and track the progress.

Don't mean to be an ass, but thats akin to keeping your model girlfriend from walking the runway at fashion shows.

Well done, can you recommend anybody in Texas? My 996TT is in desperate need of a similar treatment.

Porsche GT3 correction cont....

Today I finished up the correction of all the panels which will be covered in clear film by Premier..... hood/bumpers/quarter panels/both rockers/mirrors/and entire roof.

Being that this car is five years old, there were some chips that needed to be corrected before the film goes on

No sun pics as there is NO sun at the time these pics were taken(thought the song says "it never rains in California" ummm no)

Note the UNcorrected right rear quarter panel..... which I will fix when the car comes back to me

Bringing the car to Premier it was rained on a little bit so I did a wipe down and now the crew can get started tomorrow

More pics to follow as the car is thoroughly wrapped
